The artists’ run initiative I’m involved with, Mounted ARI, presents their first exhibition for 2020.
Above the Beyond - No Horizons — amazing aerial landscape photographs by Philip Bell.
Opening at 2pm this Saturday 14th of March at 80 Paterson Rd, Springwood NSW. Everyone welcome!
I was lucky enough to be ‘paired’ with Philip last year for Mounted’s collaborative The artist and the Writer exhibition project and wrote a poem based on his photograph of the Murray River in crisis. Philip’s work pushes the boundaries of landscape photography and this exhibition promises a unique perspective on Australia’s interior.

Aussie Writers’ WriteOn Festival
Friday 24th to Sunday 26th of April, in Canberra. I went to this Festival for the first time last year and it was a blast. Small group workshops, panels, and the opportunity to mingle and chat with other writers, poets and songsters across the experience spectrum was a creative treat. It was also fun and friendly, and this year offers a great new line up with screen writers, performance poets, crime writers, children’s writers and more — something for everyone! They also run a ‘Tales after Dark’ story reading event on the Friday night before the Festival starts. I’ve a story in their 2020 anthology which will be launched at the Festival, too :)
